New Delhi: Newly-appointed Aam Aadmi Party's Rajasthan In-charge Kumar Vishwas today said the National Executive of the party has assured that it will contest the Rajasthan Assembly elections, slated to be held next year. Addressing the state office bearers and volunteers, who gathered at the party's office here, Dr Vishwas said, "ek naye prakar ka prayog AAP ke daftar mein ho raha hai, woh hai sunne ka, jiska abhyas hume yahan nahi tha (a new kind of experiment is being done in the party office that is to 'listen', something which we were not doing earlier).'

The senior leader asked each of them individually about their plan for the progress of party in the state, as also what they wanted from the party's Central leaders for strengthening the AAP's Rajasthan unit. "With participation of activists of the booth level, we will build up our organistaion," he assured. Another AAP leader Manish Sisodia said, "We all have to fight together for the rights of people. We have to strengthen the organisation at the booth level."

Rajasthan will be the fourth state, where the party is eyeing to contest after Delhi, Punjab and Goa. In Delhi, the party won Assembly elections in 2015 by winning 67 out of 70 seats, while it faired badly in Punjab, gaining 20 out of 117 seats in 2017. The party sank without a trace in Goa, where it failed to open its account. (UNI)
