After Goa, BJP to form government in Manipur

Imphal: Manipur BJP has claimed support of four MLAs of National People’s
Party and the lone MLA of Trinamool Congress.

Addressing the media BJP leader Ram Madhav along with the five MLAs here today at
Hotel Grande it was stated that the BJP has a good chance of forming the next government.
Four members of Naga People’s Front have also assured to support the BJP. It has now 30
MLAs and still needs one more to form the government.

Meanwhile, Congress MLA Y Surchandra today charged the BJP of abducting the lone
Independent MLA Ashaduddin of Jiribam from the Tulihal international airport. The MLA had
assured to support the Congress and had come to Imphal by air with Md Nasir, Minister.
Mr Surchandra said CISF personnel at the airport stopped the Independent MLA and took
him away to an undisclosed destination. (UNI )
