Australia registers massive 333-run victory over India in pune test

Pune: Australia registered a historic win after thrashing hosts India by a massive 333 runs in the first Test of the four-match rubber at the MCA stadium here this afternoon.Tracking a mammoth 441 runs for victory, the hosts batsman once again surrendered before the Australian spin sensation Steve O'Keefe, who emerged with figures of 6/35 in the second innings.
He had earlier too, scalped six Indian wickets in the first innings.Chasing the target, the hosts once again succumbed before the visiting spin attack and could only manage to score 107 runs in their second innings after being bundled out for a paltry 105 in the first innings.
With this loss, Team India's dream to remain unbeaten in its 20th Test also got shattered while the Steve Smith side registered a victory in the Indian soil after a gap of 13 years.
With this win, the visitors lead the series 1-0.(UNI)
