Bad day for Mafia Dons of UP, Mukhtar Ansari's 2 buildings demolished,properties of Atiq Ahmed seized

Lucknow: Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) on Thursday razed down two buildings of mafia don Mukhtar Ansari in the state capital.
    
After Varanasi, Mau and Ghazipur, now the state government has taken action against the mafia and his accomplices in the state capital.
     
LDA sources here said that two buildings of the family of the Mukhtar Ansari were razed to ground in the posh Daligagh area of the state capital. Both the buildings were on the name of two sons of Mukhtar, built on illegal land.
     
LDA on August 11 last had given notices of the demolition of these two buildings as they were built on illegal land.
 
Officials said that now the LDA would recover the expense of demolition and even rent of the land since past several years.The LDA had detected around 19 such properties of Mukhtar in Lucknow itself and they are in the process of examining all of them.
    
Mukhtar, who is presently lodged in a jail in Punjab, had registered the land in which these 2 buildings of four-storey each were situated, on the name of his mother Rabia Ansari. But later it was transferred on the name of his two sons-- Abbas and Omar. The land was on the name of the people who left for Pakistan during the partition in before 1953 and the registry of the land was done through the forged way.
     
Mukhtar is a BSP MLA from Ghazipur while his elder brother Afzal is BSP MP from Ghazipur.
Police the LDA officials reached Dalibagh in the morning with a large contingent of security personal and 20 JCB machines to raze the buildings.
 
The security forces were first not allowed by the family members of Mukhtar, but later they were forcefully removed from the place and the buildings were razed.
 
LDA joint secretary Ritu Suhas said that the action to demolish the 2 buildings were taken under section 27 of the Urban Development Act.

UP govt confiscate illegal properties of mafia don Atiq Ahmed in Prayagraj
 
Prayagraj:Uttar Pradesh government has confiscated illegal properties worth over Rs 25 crore of mafia Atiq Ahmed, who is presently lodged in the Ahmadabad jail.
    
The government has recently seized five properties worth over Rs 25 crores of the mafia don in Prayagraj which included 2 buildings in Chakia, 2 in Kalindipuran and one in Om Prakash Nagar.He said that 7 other properties are under probe which will too be attached soon.
    
The action was taken under Gangster act and on the orders of District Magistrate, said SSP Abhishek Dikshit here on Thursday.Among the seized properties are Atiq's residence and his office too in Chakia.
    
Atiq Ahmed a former MP and MLA, has been accused in several cases of murder and kidnapping in the state.(UNI)
