Angered over not giving a wedding anniversary gift, a 35-year-old woman in Bengaluru stabbed her husband while he was asleep.
The 37-year-old husband is currently recovering in hospital. A case of attempt to murder has been filed with the Bellandur Police.
The police said that an altercation occurred on February 27 between Kiran and his wife over the anniversary gift. Kiran told police that he was attacked when he was in sleep by his wife with a kitchen knife.
The victim informed the police that he was grieving the loss of his grandfather and had explained to his wife that he couldn't provide a gift for their anniversary this time. Despite his explanation, his wife allegedly carried out the attack.
Based on Kiran's complaint, the police have registered a case of attempted murder against the accused wife.
