New Delhi: Days after he stoked controversy by calling 'Lord Krishna' a "legendary eve teaser," the noted lawyer and Swaraj India leader Prashant Bhushan today apologised for his remark and deleted the tweet. "I realise that my tweet on Romeo squads&Krishna was inappropriately phrased & unintentionally hurt sentiments of many people.

Apologise & delete it," Mr Bhushan posted on micro blogging site Twitter. His apology comes close on the heels of a BJP leader filing a complaint in Delhi, while another FIR was registered in Lucknow against him for allegedly hurting the religious feelings.

Earlier, Mr Bhushan while taking potshots at Yogi Adityanath's 'anti-romeo squads' had tweeted, "Romeo loved just one lady, while Krishna was a legendary Eve teaser. Would Adityanath have the guts to call his vigilantes Anti-Krishna squads?'' (UNI)
