Agartala:Amid pressure to snap ties the with IPFT following alleged violence
on the workers of the BJP, IPFT leaders today announced they would not able to continue
coalition government in the present situation.
However, the final decision would be taken in the top policy making body of IPFT in the
meeting on July 6-7 next while BJP sources indicated that IPFT would not come out from
the coalition till the election to autonomous district council (ADC) end of this year.

Another source said that a few top leaders including some MLAs of IPFT would join in
BJP soon to dismantle IPFT clutch.

The IPFT general secretary and Tribal Welfare minister Mevar Kr Jamatia today said that
the IPFT workers have been physically assaulted and attacked almost everyday by a section
of unruly cadres of BJP in Dhalai, Khowai and Gomati districts of the state since
announcement of the Loksabha result.

Meanwhile, BJP alleged that IPFT workers not only attacking their leaders including MP
and MLAs, they have been creating law and order problem and terrorizing the situation in
mixed populated areas in communal line. They were blocking the roads, attacking markets
and abusing the BJP supporters openly, which has been told IPFT leaders for long time to
restrain their cadres but they failed to do so.

While IPFT president and Revenue minister N C Debbaram and Mevar Kr Jamatia visited
the affected areas of Dhalai and Khowai district, BJP leaders led by it's general secretary
Rajib Bhattacharjee today left for Gandacherra to meet their workers and review the situation.
There are plan to hold meeting of top leaders of both the parties to cease the tension.

Followed by the attack in the house of BJP MP Rebati Tripura in Gandacherra on June 14
night, there has been series of violence continuing for last four days that left the normal life
out of gear.

Despite tight security in every village, markets and round the clock patrolling on the roads,
at least 12 persons of both the parties were injured on Sunday in fight between BJP and IPFT supporters at Raishyabari of Gandacherra.

Allegedly, IPFT workers attacked the victory rally of BJP to celebrate the formation of Modi government in Raishyabari market in the afternoon yesterday. When BJP supporters started
bursting fire crackers in the market, IPFT supporters came out in protest and tried to resist
them from lighting crackers in the market premises. Gradually, the verbal dwell took a turn
of heated exchange of words and later fistfights.(UNI)
