New Delhi:The BJP today ruled out any possibility of leadership change in Haryana and asserted that Manohor Lal would continue to be the state Chief Minister. The top BJP leadership today seemed to endorse and laud the functioning of the state government even as the sources sought to downplay the internal squabbling among leaders in the party. "These are normal in politics and the problem is not so big or serious," a source said.
The BJP is yet to decide on the new president of the Uttar Pradesh unit of the party as the present state unit chief Keshav Prasad Maurya has already joined the government. "No name has come so far," the source said. The party is also yet to decide on whether to project any state-level leader as the Chief Ministerial candidate for the ensuing assembly polls in Himachal Pradesh due later this year. For Karnataka polls due next year, the BJP has already decided to project senior leader B S Yeddyurappa as the Chief Ministerial face for the polls. "We feel, projecting Yeddyurappa will help the party," the source said. (UNI)
