Bomb explosion in TMC party office injured three people in Burdwan

Burdwan: An eerie silence prevailed, people preferred to remain in home and power connection completely disrupted today at Pitchkuri Dhaal village here after a massive explosion inside the ruling Trinamool Congress office shattered everything and critically injured three people. A CID team today also visited at the scene of explosion, the Pichkudi Dhaal's Trinamool Congress office in Ausgram under Burdwan district. The explosion happened at around 1815 hours yesterday. The explosion was so powerful that electrical pole some 50 meters away uprooted causing the whole area into darkness.

The investigating team was trying to determine if the explosives were stored in the office of the injured people were manufacturing bombs. The roof of the building razed to ground after the explosion. The TMC local leaders alleged that some miscreants hurled bombs at the party office. The Burdwan district was now under the scanner of National Investigating Agency (NIA) since a powerful blast on October 2, 2014, at Khagragarh killed two people, who were Jamiat-ul-Mujahideen (JMB) operatives from Bangladesh.
