CBI announces Rs 10 lakh for providing info of missing JNU student Najeeb Ahmed

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation has announced a reward of Rs10 lakh for providing information of missing JNU student Najeeb Ahmed. "A reward of Rs10 lakh was announced for providing information regarding the whereabouts of Najeeb Ahmed (27) , resident of Vedontola, Badaun (Uttar Pradesh). The information regarding Ahmed can be given to the CBI over telephone/mobile (24368641, 24368638, 24368634, 9650394796 and 9650394791)," the Investigation Agency said here today.
 

The CBI said it had registered a case under section 365 of IPC on June 2, 2017 on the orders of Delhi High Court and taken up the investigation which was earlier registered at Vasant Kunj (North) Police Station here relating to his missing. Ahmed, a student of School of Biotechnology, has been missing since October 15 after an alleged altercation with some students of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) at the Mahi-Mandavi hostel of the varsity.
