CJI offers prayers to Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala

Tirumala: Chief Justice of India N V Ramana along with his family members offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara Swamy here on Sunday morning.
Earlier on his arrival at Maha Dwaram, the CJI was welcomed with traditional Isthikaphal and received by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Chairman Y V Subba Reddy, Executive Officer Dr KS Jawahar Reddy and Additional Executive Officer AV Dharma Reddy.
After darshan, Justice Ramana was offered Vedasirvachanam followed by presentation of Theertha Prasadams along with the recently released book on Anjanadri - Hanuman Janmasthalam by the TTD Chairman and EO.
Later speaking to media persons, the CJI said it is great to know that Sarva Darshan has resumed for pilgrims almost after a gap of two years. "I prayed Sri Venkateswara Swamy to save the world ensuring that Covid like diseases will never recur in future again.''
He also appreciated the recent initiatives taken by TTD including beautification of Tirumala environs along with hygiene.
Later he also had darshan of Sri Bedi Anjaneya Swamy and offered prayers at Akhilandam too along with his family.
Local legislator B Karunakar Reddy, CVSO Gopinath Jatti and others were also present. (UNI)
