Congress expels 6 leaders for anti-party activities

Batala: Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee has expelled its six leaders, including Inder Sekhri, from primary membership on the charges of anti-party activities. In a letter, Punjab PCC president Captain Amrinder Singh said Mr Sekhri, who will be contesting election from Batala Assembly constituency against official Congress candidate Ashwani Sekhri, and his five other supporters were expelled permanently from party's primary membership.
 

The other Congress leaders who were expelled are: Manjit Singh Hanspal, state vice-president OBC cell Punjab, Ramesh Verma, district vice president, Amrik Singh Mika, district chairman Congress Sewa Dal, Jatinder Mana, advocate, district president legal cell Chander Mohan Vij. Meanwhile, when contacted, Mr Sekhri said he had brought a number of anti-party activities of Ashwani Sekhri into the notice of PPCC and AICC but no action was taken against him. (UNI)
