Bail denied to Kadir to perform death rituals of his slain gangster father Hyder killed in Encounter

Kendrapara:The District Session judge Kendrapara today rejected the interim bail petition of Sk Kadir for allowing him to perform the death rituals of his father gangster Hyder killed in a police encounter.
Seikh Kadir’s counsel Rabi Narayan Mohanty said a petition was filed before the District Judge and session court yesterday to allow Munna an Under Trial Prisoner to go on interim bail for a period of 40 days from July 27 to August 6 to attend the mourning rituals and funeral rites of his deceased father.
 
District Session Judge, Gopal Chandra Behera, rejected his interim bail petition apprehending possible law and order situation. The court also apprehended that Kadir might abscond, said Mr Mohanty.
 
Kadir is lodged in Choudwar jail in connection with several cases, including a murder case under Aul police station. He allegedly murdered one Sahnawaj Khan in 2011 after the latter failed to pay him extortion money of Rs 5 lakh.
 
Kadir was arrested with his other associates from Hyderabad in July 2010 in connection with the murder case of Sahnawaj khan. As many as 19 criminal cases, including 9 cases at Kendrapara Town police station were pending against him.(UNI)
