ED questions Nawab Malik in money laundering case involving Dawood Ibrahim

Mumbai: Maharashtra Minister and NCP spokesperson Nawab Malik on Wednesday reached the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) office in south Mumbai to record his statement in connection with a land deal of 2005.
At 5 am, ED officials reached his residence with a summon and asked him to accompany them. He reached the ED office at around 7.45 am.
Malik was issued summons pertaining to the purchase of land by his son in 2005 from one of the accused in 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts case, sources said.
His interrogation is underway. The ED has also interrogated several members of the Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar gang in a money laundering case.
The probe agency has taken into custody of Dawood's younger brother Iqbal Kaskar from Thane prison. (UNI)
