Exit polls predict a massive win for BJP in MCD, put AAP at 2nd, Cong at 3rd spot

New Delhi: Exit polls for the three Municipal corporations predicted a sweep for the BJP with the Aam Aadmi party placed at second place and the Congress at the third spot. A survey by the Axis India Today exit poll for the MCD elections predicted 202-220 seats for the BJP and 23 to 35 seats for the AAP.
The survey put the Congress at the third sport with 19 to 31 seats. The exit polls by the ABP new also predicted a sweep for the BJP. The survey predicted that the BJP would win 83 seats in the South Delhi Municipal corporation, while the AAP and the Congress would win 9 seats each.
The survey said that the BJP is likely to win 88 seats in the North MCD while putting the Congress at 7 seats and the AAP at 6. The survey showed BJP winning East Delhi Municipal corporation with 47 seats with the AAP second at 9 seats and the Congress at third sport with 6. Both Congress and the AAP had claimed to have done internal surveys predicted their win in the MCD.
While the Congress had claimed that it would win 208 seats in the MCD, the AAP claimed that it would win 218 seats. Polling or the three MCDs ended this evening. The results will be declared on April 26. (UNI)
