“Blockchain Technologies”,” Decentralized Economy”, and “P2P Resource Sharing”. These do sound geeky and futuristic, don’t they? Well, these are the selling points of Sirin Labs, a company that makes phones and PCs fit in the world of the digital economy and crypto currencies.
Two, years back, the company launched a smartphone, which they claimed to be “World’s most secure phone”. Priced at $ 16000, it also turned out to be one of the world's most expensive phone.
So, now they are back with a more budget-friendly one (as they might think it to be), The FINNEY™ Phone.
Running Sirin OS, on top of Android 8.1, the Finney has a set of conventional 2018 flagship phone components. It is powered by a Snapdragon 845 processor, 6GB of RAM and128GB of expandable storage. It has a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera with an f/1.8 aperture and an 8-megapixel f/2.2 selfie camera. It also has a 6-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio that sports a notch. The phone is fuelled by a 3000mAh battery that the company promises to get fully charged in 2 hours.
The special attraction is a two inch long sliding touchscreen which serves as a physical switch for its wallet. This feature links the phone’s security to its physical state, allowing more secure crypto-currency based transactions.
The phone priced at $999 can be purchased only using the company’s SRM Coins.
Finney phones are open for pre-orders and the company expect to deliver them after November. The phone is being endorsed by football legend Leonel Messi.
