Kanpur: Sufi Islamic Board has registered an FIR against Khadim of the Ajmer Sharif Dargah after it called the Board a “Pimp” for demanding a ban on the anti-national group Popular Front of India (PFI).
The FIR was registered at the Juhi police station in the city on January 23 last under section 153(A) of the IPC and Section 66 of the IT Act in the FIR number 0013.
In the FIR, Board spokesperson Sufi Mohammad Kausar Siddique, who also released a statement here on Monday, charged that Khadim Sarwar Chisti of Ajmer Sharif dargah had insulted them by calling the board as dalal and pimp for demanding ban on the anti-national organisation PFI.
The spokesperson also mentioned about the video released on November 24 last by the Khadim, in which he had openly supported the PFI and accused the Board.
The Sufi Islamic Board had also served a legal notice to the Khadim Sarwar Chisti on December 1, 2020 to withdraw his statement and seek an unconditional apology. But Khadim refused to respond to the notice leading to lodging of the FIR. (UNI)
