Girl doused with kerosene & set ablaze by her Jilted lover dies at hospital

Hyderabad: A 25-year-old girl who was doused with kerosene and set ablaze by a Jilted Lover on Thursday evening succumbed to her burns while undergoing treatment at Gandhi General Hospital here on Friday.

The deceased Sandhya Rani of Lalaguda, when walking on the road, a man, came from her rear side and poured Kerosene and set her ablaze He later fled from the scene. Sandhya had suffered 70 per cent burns. After the incident, police rushed to the spot and spoke to the victim, who disclosed that it was one Karthik, who set her ablaze. She also disclosed that from last several days Karthik has been harassing her. 

During the preliminary investigation, police came to know that Karthik is a known person to the victim and he works in a aluminium articles company where the girl works. A case has been registered and an investigation is on, police said. (UNI)
