Shocking! Girls asked to remove lingerie before medical exam

Kannur: A shocking incident came to the fore from the Kannur city of Kerela on sunday morning. The national eligibility entrance test was conducted for the medical aspirants across the nation. The invigilators kept no stone unturned to avert any case of cheating. However, what the officers at the center of Kannur did was beyond imagination. According to sources, many girls were asked to remove their lingerie to sit in the examination.

As per the information furnished by some parents and girls, some girls were not allowed to sit in exam in jeans. As reported by a leading English daily, a girl returned from examination hall just to hand over her bra to the mother. She was not allowed to wear it as it had a metal hook. A father of another girl had to run 3 kilometers to buy a lower for her daughter as officials were not allowing her to give examination in jeans as it had metal buttons. The incident has drawn ire from lot of women activist. (WD)
