Haryana: Jalebi Baba, who raped 120 women after giving intoxicating tea and made obscene videos, dies in jail

Hisar: Billu Ram alias Amarpuri, popularly known as Jalebi Baba, accused of raping 120 women, has died at Hisar's Central Jail-2 in Haryana, police said.

Jalebi Baba was serving a 14-year sentence for rape. A resident of Tohana of Fatehabad district, he was accused of forcibly having physical relations with 120 women after giving them intoxicating tea.

Videos of his crimes also went viral on social media. Then the court sentenced Baba to 14 years imprisonment.

According to the police, Baba was ill for several days in jail. When he was brought to Agroha Medical College, his health improved. After this he was sent back to Central Jail. On Tuesday, his health deteriorated again in the barrack and when he was again brought to Agroha Medical College, he was declared dead.

Azad Nagar police station got his postmortem done on Wednesday in the presence of the Magistrate.

Jalebi Baba had confessed during police interrogation that he used to seduce the women who came to him, give them intoxicating pills in tea and indulge in indecent acts with them. He also made videos of his acts on his mobile. Later he would blackmail them and extort money. Women were unable to tell anyone of their ordeal for the fear of being defamed.
