Hunt for JNU student Sharjeel Imam ends, Police nabbed him in Patna

The anti CAA activist notorious for his "chicken neck" comment recently has finally been nabbed by the Delhi Police.Sharjeel Imam has been arrested from Kako police station in Jehanbad district of Bihar.
A sedition case has been slapped on the JNU student Sharjeel Imam. Earlier The security personnel on Monday conducted raids in Sabjibagh locality under Pirbahor police station area of Patna, after tracing Sarjeel Imam against whom a case of treason had been filed by the Delhi police after he was seen in a video asking a gathering to "agitate and cut of Assam from India".
 
Refusing to divulge the action plan, the police sources said here today that the last location of Sharjeel Imam was found to be in Patna. On the basis of the location, raids were launched in Sabjibagh and adjoining areas to nab him.
 
Sharjeel, who is anti-CAA activist and is said to be the mastermind of Shaheen Bagh agitation in Delhi, is originally a native of village Kako in Jehanabad district.
 
The  sources said that the security personnel were keeping hawks' eyes, specially on the borders of the district so that he cannot slip anywhere else.
 
Earlier, the security personnel on Sunday raided the residence of Sharjeel Imam in his native village in Jehanabad district and picked three people, including two of his relatives.(UNI)
