Jharkhand: CRPF shoots another jawan, later commits suicide in Chatra

Chatra: A jawan of the 190th battalion of the CRPF posted at the isolation centre of the battalion at Simaria ITI College first shot a fellow jawan and later committed suicide by shooting himself on Tuesday.
In the incident the jawan Kaluram Gurjar and Rasoiya (cook) Ravindra Kumar died on the spot. The jawan Kaluram Gurjar was under mental stress due to family related problems. Kaluram was from Rajasthan while Ravindra hailed from Haryana.
Officials of the CRPF said that a heated argument took place between the two during which Kaluram from his service rifle shot Ravindra dead and later committed suicide by shooting himself from the same rifle.
Upon receiving information Chatra SP Rishabh Jha alongwith Commandant of CRPF's 190th battalion Pawan Kumar Bassan reached on the spot and inquired into the incident.
The SP later said that initial probe has revealed that jawan Kaluram was under stress due to family related issues.
He said that senior officials of the CRPF were trying to solve his issues but despite that the unfortunate incident has happened.
The SP said that both the bodies have been sent for post-mortem while their respective families have been also informed. (UNI)
