Kashmir encounter: Militant's body recovered, searches on

Srinagar: Even though firing between militants and security forces has stopped after heavy exchange this morning, search operation was continuing in south Kashmir district of Anantnag.Body of a militant, along with a damaged weapon, was recovered so far today, official sources told UNI.

Exact number of militants killed in the encounter will be known only when operation is declared closed.Due to darkness operation were stopped last night though security forces remained deployed to prevent any attempt by militants to escape.

They said with the first light this morning, security forces resumed search operation against the militants holed up in a house since December 7 evening in south Kashmir district of Anantnag. (UNI)
