New Delhi: Days after the Aam Aadmi Party suspended its Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan's primary membership following rift with Kumar Vishvas, the Kejriwal led AAP Government today sacked Kapil Mishra from the Cabinet and inducted two new faces. According to Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Mr Mishra, (who held the Tourism and Water Ministries) was removed as several colonies in the city were reeling under water crisis despite his efforts to sort the problem.
Sources said the decision to sack Mr Mishra and to induct two new faces (Seemapuri MLA Rajendra Pal Gautam and its Najafgarh legislator Kailash Gehlot) in the Cabinet was taken in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Reacting over his removal, he said that he has not received any official communication yet. "I am the only minister with no corruption charges. No CBI inquiry against me. I have not given any benfit to my daughter or any of my relatives," he said in a series of tweets. (UNI)
