The catch controversy

An incident during the match was doing rounds on social media. India was desperately looking for wickets as Latham and Wiliamson were going strong. A reverse sweep of Left handed batsman Latham almost proved costly as the ball hit the toe and went to palms of K L Rahul.  Rahul fumbled and took the catch, it looked like India got the much needed breakthrough. However Umpire referred this decision to the third umpire. In the replay it clearly showed the ball touched the grill of Helmet while Rahul was trying to get hold of the catch. As per the cricketing laws third umpire ruled Letham as not out.
