Mumbai: A minor boy aged 17-years was stripped naked, forced to go on a road and assaulted with belts by two persons in Thane for not repaying 'Rs 300 loan' and accusing him of allegedly 'fliicking' a Bluetooth headphone, police said here on Wednesday.
Among the two who assaulted the boy, was arrested and another is at large.
The incident happened on Tuesday afternoon in full public view near the Jama Masjid in the neighbouring Thane city, which happens to be the home-town of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
Based upon the complain of minor, police has registered a case against two persons identified as Tausif Khanbande and Samil Khanbande, under the stringent sections of the POCSO and Indian Penal Code.
A police official said that the prime accused Tausif was arrested Wednesday afternoon, while police teams are on the lookout for the absconder Samil, who has reportedly gone into hiding since last night. (UNI)
