Mamta pledges to throw out NAMO from Indian Politics

Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee continuing her tirade against demonetisation of Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 denominations move of the Centre, today accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of leading India into a "chaotic state" and demanded immediate restoration of two old currencies. The Bengal CM also stated that whether she will live or die but one day uproot Narendra Modi from Indian Politics. " Everyone in the country is suffering, especially the poor people who have been without food and works for days after banning of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes resulting crisis in the currencies," Ms Banerjee claimed in a protest rally here against demonetisation.

" I want to see to the end and if situation demand then I can also take protest to the doors of Prime Minister in New Delhi," Ms Banerjee, who is also the chairperson of ruling Trinamool Congress, said. Earlier in the day, Ms Banerjee led a huge rally from College Square in central part of this city to Esplanade using microphone and voicing against the BJP led Union government at the Centre. " When the demonetisation was announced on November 8 by then the salary of the employees across the country were already paid, now this time how the salary is to be paid is to be seen," Ms Banerjee added and accused Mr Modi of taking " whimsical decision." She also urged the intellectual people of the country to protest this as Bengal's intellectual people took part in protest rally today.

She demanded that Mr Modi must withdraw such demonetisation decision and restore the old currencies of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes. The chief minister claimed that suck demonetisaton had been an unprecedented leading to a complete chaotic state in all over the country in absence of liquid money of other denominations. " Banks are closed at 1600 hrs and money is empty at the ATMs then where the people will go and get the money," and dubbed " a faceless PM with cashless decision." Ms Banerjee also criticised the Left parties led by the CPI(M) and urged the Communist leaders to come into the streets and protest like her. " We do not support any bandh and that is why the people did not respond to the shut," the chief minster said. She also congratulated the people for not responding to the 12-hour shut called by the Left parties.

 Ms Banerjee on Sunday said, PM's 'Mann ki Baat' radio programme was a “misuse” of the government machinery as it has now become ‘Modi ki Baat’. “Modiji, you have finished India’s economy and growth. We don’t trust you or your mismatched wrong technology which you are advocating. We want technology and progress. But no section of society is to be left out and tortured while doing this (demonetisation),” the Trinamool Congress chairperson said in a statement. She accused the PM of doing personal vendetta, personal publicity and business instead of finding solutions to the suffering and pain of millions of people. “The women of our country will give you a befitting reply. They are the mothers of India ,” she said. (UNI)
