Swachh bharat taken too seriously, Man beaten to death for dumping waste

Visakhapatnam: A petty row over garbage took a drastic turn when a family of four barged into their neighbor's house late last night and beat him to death with stones, all while his daughter was present in the residence at Ravulampalem village in the district. Rural Police officials here today said L Srinivasa Rao (40) was a driver of an earth-mover machine and shared an open space in front of his house with his neighbour L Appalanaidu.
Preliminary information showed that there were petty issues over the drainage and dumping of waste. Both families have reportedly been involved in several arguments concerning the issue. Srinivasa Rao was beaten to death by stones after Appala Naidu, his wife Varalakshmi, son Apparao and daughter-in-law Chinnamulu went to his house.
Srinivasa’s daughter was also present at home during the incident and alerted neighbours and locals. He was later shifted to a hospital but declared brought dead. Police said that after the murder, Appalanaidu’s family went home to complete their slumber. All four accused have been taken into custody.A case is being registered and the body has been sent for autopsy. (UNI)
