New Delhi: Continuing its attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his jibe on former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in Parliament, the Congress today said Mr Modi had struck a new low by his lack of civility in personally attacking Dr Singh. ''Modi strikes a new low by his lack of civility in personally attacking Dr Manmohan Singh. Parliament, not a maidan for an election speech,'' AICC spokesperson Kapil Sibal tweeted.
Replying to the motion of thanks to the President's address in the Rajya Sabha yesterday , Prime Minister Modi, charging Dr Manmohan Singh with turning a blind eye to scams during the UPA regime, said ,''only doctor squib knows the skill of bathing with a raincoat on.'' The comments by the Prime Minister evoked sharp protest from the Congress which staged a walkout from the House. (UNI)
