BJP's CM N Biren wins confidence motion in Manipur Assembly

Imphal: Mr Nongthombam Biren Singh today won the confidence motion in the floor of the Manipur Assembly with a margin of 32-27 in the 60-member House.
Only the Congress voted against the government while all others, including, the BJP, NPP, NPF, Lok Jana Shakti Party, Trinamool and Independent MLAs supported the motion. This paves the way for successful establishment of the first BJP government in the state. (UNI)
