New Delhi: Delhi’s Tihar prison superintendent has been served a notice for shifting two inmates to the cell of former Delhi Minister Satyendar Jain after his request, a senior official of Tihar jail told UNI.
Jain had written a letter and requested the jail official that he was feeling lonely and so he should accommodate him with two inmates in his cell, an official said.
The jail administration issued a show-cause notice to the superintendent and sent both the inmates to their cell.
Reacting over the Tihar jail issue, BJP Delhi unit president, Virendra Sachdeva said that the people of Delhi are shocked to know that in the recent past Satyendar Jain selected prisoners according to his wish to stay with him in his barrack.
