Odisha: RPF recovers newborn baby under seat in Tapaswini Express train

Puri: The RPF personnel on Wednesday recovered a newborn infant from the general coach of a parked train in Puri railway station.
According to GRP which registered a case and investigated the incident on Wednesday at 8.30 am while RPF personnel were inspecting the Tapaswini express train no. 18451/C parked at platform no. 4 of Puri railway station found a live newborn male baby lying under a seat in the general coach.
The Childline officials reached and the baby was taken to the district headquarter hospital where doctors found the baby in good health. The baby is kept in the hospital for observation.
The GRP, sources said, will scan the CCTV footage of the platform and station to identify the occupants of the seat.
The child has been entrusted to child line officials as per the law, RPF sources said. (UNI)
