New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today left for three-day state visit of Israel. He will be the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Israel -- with which India established bilateral relations in 1992. Before leaving for Israel, Mr Modi in a joint blog with his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu wrote that the natural relationship between the two countries has grown strong year after year. They said the deep connection between the peoples of two countries reflects their similarities. Both the leaders asserted that the relationship faced many challenges which they can overcome by working together.

Both the countries are walking hand in hand into the future as partners. "PM @narendramodi emplanes for a historic visit to Israel, the first ever by an Indian Prime Minister," the PMO's official Twitter handle said in a micro blogging site message. Today the entrepreneurial drive of Indians and Israelis brings us closer together, said another Twitter message from the PMO. After his three-day visit of Israel, Prime Minister will also move to Hamburg for the G20 Summit on July 7 and 8.(UNI)
