PM, Prez and other politicians condemn Naxal attack in Sukma

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today termed the Maoists' attack on CRPF personnel in Chhattisgarh as "cowardly and deplorable" and said the government is monitoring the situation closely. "May those injured in today's attack in Chhattisgarh recover at the earliest. We are proud of the valour of our @crpfindia personnel. The sacrifice of the martyrs will not go in vain. Condolences to their families. "Attack on @crpfindia personnel in Chhattisgarh is cowardly & deplorable.

Condolences to their families," Mr Modi wrote. "May those injured in today's attack in Chhattisgarh recover at the earliest," he expressed hope in another missive.

Prez condemns Sukma naxal attack, condoles death of CRPF personnel

President Pranab Mukherjee today strongly condemned the Naxal attack in Sukma, which left 26 CRPF personnel dead. In a statement, the President also condoled the death of the CRPF personnel. 'Strongly condemn attack on CRPF personnel in Chhattisgarh; condolences to families of deceased & prayers for injured,' Mr Mukherjee said in a tweet. 

Sonia condemns Naxal attack on CRPF personnel in Sukma

Condemning the Naxal attack on the CRPF personnel in Sukma, Congress president Sonia Gandhi today said such attacks will never deter the fight against extremism. Describing the attack as a 'mindless and ruthless strike on our security forces', Ms Gandhi said, 'The sacrifice of 24 four brave men is a big loss to the nation. Such attacks will never deter the fight against extremism.' Ms Gandhi expressed solidarity with friends and families of the martyrs and prayed for the early recovery and good health of the injured. Rahul condoles death of CRPF personnel in Sukma naxal attack

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi today condoled the death of CRPF personnel in Naxal attack in Sukma in Chhattisgarh. 

In a post on social media, Mr Gandhi said such ‘thoughtless violence’ would never succeed in weakening their resolve to fight forces of extremism. "My sincere condolences to the families of CRPF personnel martyred in the attack in #Sukma.We salute the sacrifice and courage of our bravehearts. "This thoughtless violence will never succeed in weakening our resolve to fight forces of extremism,’’ Mr Gandhi tweeted. 

At least 26 CRPF jawans were martyred today in an ambush by naxals in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh. The martyrs belonged to the CRPF battalion 74. 

Kejriwal expresses grief over death of CRPF personnel in Sukma Naxal attack
 


Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal today expressed grief over the death of CRPF personnel in Naxal attack in Chhattisgarh and said that any form of violence is completely unacceptable. 'My heart goes out for the families of Sukma martyrs. Violence in any form is completely unacceptable," Mr Kejriwal tweeted. At least 26 CRPF jawans were martyred today in an ambush by Naxals in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh. (UNI)

Vice President condemns attack on CRPF personnel in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh

Vice President M Hamid Ansari has condemned the attack on CRPF Personnel in Sukma District of Chhattisgarh. In a message, he said,’’I am deeply shocked to learn about the attack in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh in which a number of CRPF personnel lost their lives.

There cannot be any justification for such heinous and reprehensible acts and the perpetrators must be found and punished for their crimes.  ‘’I join the nation in offering my sincere condolences to the families of the CRPF jawans who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. I also pray for the speedy recovery of the injured,’’the Vice President said. (UNI)
