Political blame game begins after three died with chikungunya in Delhi

New Delhi: As many as three patients have succumbed to the chikungunya disease in the national capital.All three deaths have been reported from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and the deaths were due to multi-organ failure.According to the Chairman of Board of Directors of the SGRH, D S Rana, "Three patients have succumbed to the disease".

Mounting a fierce attack on Aam Aadmi Party-led Delhi government over deaths due to chikungunya, the BJP today accused Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his cabinet of shrugging off their responsibility towards national capital for political ambitions in Punjab and Goa.
The BJP slammed the Chief Minister after he blamed Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the outbreak of mosquito borne diseases and said that he and Delhi Ministers now have no powers, not even to 'buy a pen.'
Earlier, when asked, on twitter, about 'mosquito menace' in Delhi, the Chief Minister had tweeted ''CM n min left wid no power now, even to buy a pen. LG n PM enjoy all powers wrt Del. LG abroad. Question them for Delhi'' (UNI)
