Proposal for modern bus station, 4-lane flyover in Ayodhya get UP Cabinet nod

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Monday gave its approval for the construction of a bus station of international standard in Ayodhya at the cost of Rs 400 crore.
The proposal for a four-lane flyover in the temple city costing Rs 20. 17 crore also got the Cabinet nod.
Around 9 acres of land for the new bus station will be transferred to the Transport department from the Culture department, State government spokesperson and MSME Minister Sidharth Nath Singh told reporters here.
The new bus station with be constructed either on PPP mode or by the state government at a cost of Rs 400 crores. The bus station will provide all basic facilities to the passengers and it will give better road connectivity.
In another decision, the state government has approved the construction of a 4 lane flyover in Ayodhya on the Ayodhya - Sultanpur highway to end the congestion.
This 1.5 kilometer long flyover will be constructed at a cost of Rs 20.17 crores. For the flyover education department land will be transferred to PWD.
In Lucknow, state government has approved a 120 MLD sewege treatment plant under Amrut Scheme to clean the water of Haider canal falling in Gomti river.
The STP would be constructed near 1,090 crossing in the heart of the city near Gomti barrage.
In the project, centre's share will be of Rs 88.53 crores, state of Rs 129.15 crores and local bodies of Rs 79.69 crores.
UP government will also construct a new bus station in Anupshahr nagarpalika area in Bulandshahr district for which 0.236 hectare of land have been proposed.
In Prayagraj, a ROB along with two flyovers would be constructed with a cost of Rs 284 crores. The ROB and a 4-lane flyover will be constructed near Subedarganj railway station connecting Airport and GT Road while another 2- lane flyover would be constructed from Chaupatia to Kanpur road.
Mr Singh said these ROB and flyovers will end road congestion and will facilitate smooth movement of vehicles towards Bundelkhand. Railway will spend Rs 98 crore on the ROB.
The state government has decided that Development Authorities will be allowed to take up maintenance work in the projects.
The development authorities of Prayagraj, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Agra and other places can do maintenance work particularly in the tourist and religious importance sites. (UNI)
