Rahul targets Modi for focusing on TRP gain

New Delhi: Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi today launched scathing verbal attack against Prime Minister Narendra Modi accusing him of focusing on his image building at the cost of governance and in the process ‘inflicting sufferings to people and damaging institutions. Delivering the presidential address at the meeting of the Congress Parliamentary Party(CPP) in the absence of Ms Sonia Gandhi, Mr Gandhi said “PM Modi is more interested in TRP politics,our party never gave India a PM who based his entire policy making strategy on TRPs”.
 

“Congress never gave India a PM who was a prisoner of his own image”, he quipped. “We never gave India a PM who by passed the experience of those sitting in the institutions,We never gave a PM who was ready to inflict such tremendous suffering on people of India to protect his own persona”, Mr Gandhi said.

This was for the first time that Mr Gandhi presided over the CPP meet that was held in Parliament complex for reviewing strategy on the floor during the course of the ongoing winter session. The party supremo and the CPP Chairperson Ms Gandhi skipped the meeting on heatlh ground. Ms Gandhi was admitted to Sir Gangaram Hospital here on Wednesday with viral fever and was discharged from the hospital yesterday. (UNI)
