Lucknow: Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) supremo Ajit Singh today said that his party will not ally with BJP at any cost after the Uttar Pradesh polls, even though his stand for other secular parties would be open. "At present we are contesting in the state with full vigour and after a long time RLD is contesting in eastern and Central UP," he said.
Addressing a press conference here, Singh said that RLD will be a force in the state after the elections. The party has already announced 130 seats so far and by tomorrow it will go up by 150. The party had already announced Jayant Singh as the CM face of the party. However the RLD chief reiterated that no one from the SP or Congress talked with him on alliance."It is the media which said about alliance but it was not true," he said.
When asked that RLD was just giving candidature to those who were denied ticket by BJP, SP and other parties, he said such thing is normal during election and we are giving candidature to those who can win seats. On the occasion several former legislators ROM other political parties joined the RLD. (UNI)
