RS adjourned for the day after uproar over Arunachal power scam

New Delhi: The Rajya Sabha today witnessed uproar by the Congress over the allegations against Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju in the Arunachal power scam, forcing two adjournments of the House, the last one for the day.There was uproar by the Congress members soon after the House passed the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Bill, 2014.

Deputy Chairman P J Kurien rejected a notice given by Deputy Leader of the Congress Anand Sharma on the issue.This was followed by slogan raising by Congress members.Soon members of the Treasury Benches also raised slogans forcing the Chair to adjourn the House for the day.(UNI)
