TN Govt to promulgate Ordinance on Jallikattu : CM

Chennai: Amid mounting protests, the Tamil Nadu Government today decided to promulgate an emergency Ordinance to conduct Jallikattu, the bull taming sport, in the next one or two days. Chief Minister O Panneerselvam, who met Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday, told reporters at New Delhi this morning that the draft Ordinance has been prepared after consulting legal experts and sent to the Union Ministry of Home Affairs.
