Trio from the same family who run eatry washed away in monsoon flash flood in Shimla

Shimla:Three people, including a woman, were washed away after a flash flood hit Jogoti village in Diswani Gram Panchayat under Choraha under Rohru subdivision in the district.
Police sources said a man and woman and their grandson, who ran a food eatery at Choraha, were washed away by the flash flood after incessant rainfall in the Rohru subdivision Friday night.

Residents of Jogoti village identified as Roshan Lal and Bhaga Devi are missing, along with their grandson Kartik. Three came in a spate of swollen Laila Rivults Friday night.The administration and rescue team are tracing the missing people, who were reportedly washed away in the flash flood and may be buried in the muck.

Normal life continued to cripple the entire state as 656 major roads and three National highways were disrupted by the monsoon rains.According to the state disaster management authority, NH 505 is blocked between Gramphu and Lossar in Lahaul Spiti district, NH-3 between Kullu and Manali, and NH707 near Shillai in Sirmaur district.

The power supply is disrupted in 1673 transmission lines and the water supply in 376 schemes. The death toll mounted to 138, with 169 injured.According to state authorities, revenue loss to state and private properties has mounted above Rs 5000 Crore as 5616 houses, 1500 cowsheds, and 234 shops have been affected and fully damaged in the state.

The incidents of monsoon fury are pouring from different places in the state, however, relief and restoration work is moving at a snail's pace.The incessant rainfall further derail normal life in the last 24 hours, and basic facilities like water, power, communications, and transports are completely crippled in the state.(UNI)
