New Delhi:The Supreme Court today allowed senior lawyer and former Law Minister Salman Khurshid to assist as amicus curiae in the 'Triple Talaq' case. A Bench, headed by Chief Justice of India (CJI) Jagdish Singh Khehar, agreed upon the mentioning by Khurshid, and allowed him to assist the court in the Triple Talaq case.
Mr Khurshid had mentioned before the apex court that he wanted to assist in the Triple Talaq case, to which the top court agreed. It is to be noted that the Triple Talaq case would be heard by a Constitution Bench from May 11 and it would most likely dispose off the matter within this summer vacation. (UNI)
