Thane: Training his gun at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his demonetisation move, Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackery has said neither the black money has been unearthed nor corruption contained. Addressing an election rally for Thane Municipal polls on February 21 here yesterday, Mr Thackeray said neither the black money has come back nor corruption has been reduced and the common man suffered the worst while the rich were not at all affected.
'Prime Minister Modi is behaving as if he has created the nation, considers himself like a “Rashtra Pita” and taking credit of all the good work that have happened,' he said. Taking a potshot at Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the Shiv Sena president said,' Fadnavis is also behaving as if he had created the state and taking credit for all the things that have happened even before he took over state's reins. Invoking late Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray’s relation with the Thane city, Mr Thackeray claimed that there was a bond between Thane and Shiv Sena which will not break at any cost and was confident that the citizens of the city would elect Shiv Sena to power in the civic polls.
Coming down heavily on the BJP, he alleged that the party which makes wild cat allegations on the Sena of having the goons was in fact having the maximum of goondas. 'Maximum of the BJP Ministers were entangled in corruption charges,' he claimed. The Patanjali parivar and distributors and Yoga Guru Ramdev have declared their support to the Shiv Sena in this civic election. (UNI)
