UP Budget: Yogi govt allots Rs 101 crore for new Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram Airport at Ayodhya

Lucknow: Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh tabled its fifth and last paperless budget proposal for 2021-22 by increasing the size of the budget to Rs 5.60 lakh crore, an increase of around Rs 14,000 crore.

No fresh taxes have been imposed in the new budget for the next fiscal.

State Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna presented the budget in the state Assembly on Monday in presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The total budget size is Rs 5,50,270,78 crore.

In the budget the government disclosed that it has realised over Rs 23 lakh from the offenders involved in the roots during CAA/NRC agitation in the state.

The state tabled the deficit budget with focussing on new projects and schemes worth Rs 27,598,40 lakh.

For expressways, UP government has allotted major funds which include Rs 7689 crore for the proposed Ganga Expressway, Rs 1492 crore for Bundelkhand expressway and Rs 860 crore for Gorakhpur link expressway.

The government has allotted Rs 20 crore for Abhudaya coaching classes for the talented students while the poor students in the Sanskrit Gurukul type school will get free boarding and lodging.

The Yogi government has sanctioned Rs 700 crore for free water to farmers, free 15,000 solar pumps and Rs 2000 crore for the MLA Development area fund.

A total of Rs 15,000 crores has been sanctioned for Har Ghar Jal scheme.

The government has sanctioned Rs 191 crore for the new Mardaya Purshuttom Shree Ram airport in Ayodhya and Rs 2000 crore for the Jevar international airport. (UNI)
