Superintendent of Police (SP) Ankur Agarwal said that the incident took place when the cylinder exploded while being unloaded from a vehicle outside Dayal Hospital.
"Two persons, who were employees of the company which supplies the medical oxygen cylinder, were killed in the explosion," he said.
He said that it is being probed whether the cylinder exploded due to over pressure or due to mishandling.
"Forensic team has been called and all evidence will be collected. An inquiry will be conducted into the lapses on the basis of which legal action will be taken," he said.
Agarwal said that prima facie it seems that the cylinder exploded either due to overpressure or handling. "We will take the CCTV footage of cameras installed in the area on which it will be ascertained what led to the explosion," he said. (UNI)
