WATCH: RTC bus washed away in flood waters in Telangana's Rajanna Sircilla

Hyderabad: A Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) bus which was stranded in the swollen Manair Vagu (rivulet) near Lingannapet in Rajanna Sircilla district of the state on Monday was swept away on Tuesday due to increase in the water levels in the rivulet following incessant heavy rains which have been pounding the state since the last few days.

The bus carrying more than 20 passengers and enroute from Kamareddy to Siddipet was stuck on the causeway across the rivulet and the local people came to the rescue of the passengers and pulled them out of the bus through the driver's and emergency doors.

Meanwhile, parts of the state including Warangal district received heavy rains in the past 24 hours.

The state has reported seven rain-related deaths till Monday.

Generally cloudy sky with a few spells of rain or thundershowers during the next few days has been forecast by the weather office today. (UNI)
