Kolkata: Mystery shrouded the death of Pritam Dasgupta alias Srinjoy, the son of Rinku Ghosh, who recently married BJP leader Dilip Ghosh, in New Town Shapoorji residential area in east Kolkata on Tuesday.
The body of 28-year-old Pritam Dasgupta, an IT employee of a private consultancy company, was found in an unconscious state in his flat early this morning and was taken to the Tata Medical Centre, where the doctors declared him dead on arrival, police said.
Police registered an unnatural death after the doctors found marks of injury around his neck.
The body was sent for postmortem at the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.
Pritam Dasgupta was the son of Rinku Ghosh's first husband.
Rinku, a BJP's women wing leader, got married to the party's former state unit President Dilip Ghosh (60) last month.
