Rain plays spoilsport yet again as second T-20 washed away

Florida: West Indies clinched the two-match T20I series against India 1-0 as the second and final game was today called-off due to rain and poor ground conditions here.The world champions yesterday won the first T20I by one run in a thriller.The men in blue, led by MS Dhoni were in a do-or-die situation in today's second and final game and the skipper was well supported by his bowlers who bundled out the Caribbean team for 143 in 19.
4 overs after winning the toss and electing to field first.Unlike yesterday's match, the India's bowlers bowled accurately and provided the first breakthrough in the fourth over when opener Evin Lewis (7) was caught by Amit Mishra at short fine leg off Md Shami's delivery at the team score of 24.

The Indian bowlers continued to provide back to back blows to the world champs as a googly from Mishra rattled Dwayne Bravo (3) bells.At this time, West Indies were reeling at 111/7 in 15.

Later, Bhuvneshwar removed Andre Russell (13) and Mishra bowled out skipper Carlos Braithwaite (18) leaving the opponents struggling at 133/9 in 18 overs.Shami then ended the islanders' innings as he clean bowled Samuel Badree (1) in the 19th over.For India, leggie Mishra scalped three for 24 while Bumrah, Shami, Ashwin picked two wickets apiece and Bhuvaneshwar managed to claim one.(UNI)
