A win for Australia after 7 matches, SA defeated by 7 runs

Adelaide: Australia on Friday defeated South Africa by 7 runs in second One Day International (ODI) match here at Adelaide Oval here on Friday. Faf du Plessis (47) and David Miller (51) couldn't power South Africa to clinch victory against Australia.
It seemed that Faf du Plessis's wicket derailed Africa's move towards victory, when took the charge to powered his team register a win against Australia, though the wickets were falling on the other end.
While chasing a target of 232 runs, South Africa, lost four wickets on a score of 95 runs, but Faf du Plessis took the charge to pull out his team from the situation. Plessis played handsomely as compare to other batsmen. He scored 47 runs off 65 balls with help of three fours, before he was sent to pavilion by Pat Cummins. He left South Africa on 142 for five wickets. Plessis's wickets derailed Africa's move towards victory.
David Miller and Faf du Plessis were the only batsmen, who stayed at crease and kept the run rate healthy, giving hope to South African fans to celebrate. A brilliant review called by skipper Aaron Finch got Australia the wicket of David Miller. Miller was struck in the middle on a straight delivery by Marcus Stoinis, and even though he stepped too much outside, the replays give all three reds. Except Miller and Plessis none of the batsmen even managed to cross 40 runs.
De Kock was sent to pavilion on a score of nine runs off 12 balls, when he tried to play a lenth ball over delivery of Mitchell starc and and Zampa judged the catch well.
Markram collected boundaries in each over and kept the run rate healthy, but he too couldn't stay on the crease for a long time and soon he was dismissed for 19 runs off 17 balls. Reeza Hendricks called him for a third run and Markram - though in doubt - obliged and made a dash. He even put in a dive, but when the bails were whipped off, his bat was in the air.
South Africa was 46 for 2 wickets when Markram left the for the pavilion.It seemed that Australian bowlers were doing a fine job with balls as they have already sent four batsmen of the proteas. The fourth wicket fell on a score of 95 runs for four wickets.
In the first inning, Proteas bowled out Australia for 231 runs in 48.3 overs.South Africa won the toss and decided to field first. Australia got off to a poor start as they lost their opener Travis Head on his individual score of eight runs in fourth over.
Then, Shaun Marsh (22) Chris Lynn (44), Alex Carey (47) got good starts, but failed to convert their scores in big innings.Glenn Maxwell was dismissed by Dwaine Pretorius for 15 runs, reducing Australia to 166/6 in 33.2 overs.
Then, the Aussies' tail failed to put any resistance against the Proteas attack. However, Adam Zampa and Josh Hazlewood added crucial 27 runs for the 11th wicket, taking score to 231 runs.
Kagiso Rabada bagged four wickets in 9.3 overs considered 54 runs, while Dwaine Pretorious took three wickets in his 10 overs by considering just 32 runs.
For Australia Dale Steyn took two wickets, Lungi Ngidi took one wicket, while Kagiso Rabada took four wickets and spent 54 runs. Dwaine Pretorious took three wickets.South Africa is leading the series by 1-0.(UNI)
