BWF C'ship: Sindhu scripts history beats Okuhara in finals

Basel: Olympic silver medallist PV Sindhu became the first Indian as she clinched gold by defeating Japanese player Nozomi Okuhara 21-7, 21-7 in straight sets in women's singles at the Badminton World Championship here on Sunday. 
Japan's Nozomi Okuhara, the World No 4 but seeded third at the World Championships, had thwarted Sindhu in the 2017 final. In 15 meetings between the duo, Sindhu has won eight matches.Sindhu had also won silver in 2017, and 2018 in World Champion.(UNI)
